AC/DC Rocks Hollywood

If you have been following this BLOG, you know I like my music and live bands. Nothing better on a Friday night than to make some noise with your friends a few pints and a GREAT cover band. For Those About To Rock did just that last night. A packed house and great AC/DC tunes from the boys. Thanks to James for inviting me to take some pictures for their website and some upcoming promos, stay tuned.....

More Snow

Well at least the kids are enjoying it. It's always a surprise when I open the blinds in the morning. It's been so mild all week everyone said the cold weather and heavy snow is behind us. Well Mother Nature definitely had something to say today and that was; " Get out the shovels..."

Kodak Moments

You won't need any Kleenex after this Kodak spot. You might remember the "Live Forever" campaign. It featured kids at the Kodak Museum experiencing pictures "talking". Well if that was to syrupy for you this will definetly be a kick in the pants ... for sure!

For the Love of Cuba

For some the love of Cuba is it's cigars and beautiful beaches. For me it's all about the rhythm. I used to perform and tour alot more with bands as a bassist so I dig the pocket. Speaking of which, check out the grooves from Cuban percussionist Yoel Del Sol who performs solo on congas. Tell me that's not love.

Happy Birthday Alexandra

Well it's Alexandra's first birthday! Wow, so much to look forward to. If us adults start to clean up some of the mess we've made of this earth. If "An Inconvenient Truth" is not a sobering enough statement about Global Warming than you are more naive than you think. Alexandra has a reason to be, but we don't: Have a look at The New Global Warming Report.

Toronto Stand Off !

So this was the seen outside my kitchen window this morning. My neighbours dog who is usually barking at his own tail, sounded a little different today? So I looked out the window to see what was going on. When all of a sudden Clint Eastwood's "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" stand off soundtrack kicked in. It was wasn't a hot Mexican desert, but a brittley crisp cold Canadian morning. When these two foes stared each other down! Sassy trying to protect his territory and sounding off that he is BOSS....When the ever so cool quite and composed coon arched its back and WACK! Let him have it right in the nose, I love a great ending. Especially when the big mouth gets it in the end!

They have hundreds of pieces from cups, bowls to fairy princesses. March break is around the corner check out their camps and workshops in Origami and Realism Drawing.
